Meet Johan Yusof
Hello, everyone!
If you’ve just stumbled in, welcome to my first blog post here on Medium!
A little bit about myself. My name is Johan Yusof (I go by the handle JOHANYUSOF85 everywhere on social media) and I am a stage performer with 20 years of experience. Due to COVID-19 putting a halt to most of my stage performing activities thus causing my gigs to either be cancelled or postponed, I have now focused much of my attention as a streamer and content creator on Twitch.
I’ve been streaming on Twitch since 23 October 2018, first directly from my PS4 and later, from my own PC. I officially became a Twitch Affiliate on 29 July 2019 and am currently aiming to be a Twitch Partner sometime this year. Throughout my time on Twitch, I have been actively streaming a variety of games, from fighting and retro games to visual novels and community games.
Throughout much of 2020, most of my focus as a streamer came from streaming Twitch Sings and Just Dance. While part of the Twitch Sings community, I was very active in various community events, including Dare to Duet (of which I was once selected to be a captain for), Take The Mic (was Top 5 for the Disney Edition) and Fam Jam Slam (which I once judged and made the finals for a few times). After the game ceased operations on New Year’s Day this past January, I started to focus entirely on Just Dance streams, which happen every Monday, Thursday and Sunday nights from 9PM to 1AM GMT+8 at https://twitch.tv/johanyusof85.
For my blog posts on Medium, I’ll be writing about my journey as a streamer and content creator thus far and lessons I’ve learned during this time, along with lessons I’ve learned in life. I look forward to sharing my stories with all of you twice a week here on Medium every Tuesday and Saturday!
